Default O rings tearing 96 GC 4.0

Need help. O rings tearing when replacing high pressure line on power steering pump. On steering box side. Is there a trick to this seems straight forward. Take off replace and go. But I'm tearing orings up. I'm not moving or twisting hard line. Thanks for any input. 2Tall

Lube the rings before assembly. Power steering fluid would be fine, for obvious reasons.

If that doesn't do it, there is something mechanically wrong with that connection. Maybe the wrong one?
