OK so my nss was acting up and I decided to clean it. Well Turns out the PO already decided to mess with it The only problem is that they did not put the nss back on all the way. When they put it back on they made the tab on the tranny flush with the nut, instead of installing it all the way into the tranny. The nss is stuck and will not budge any suggestions as to what to do.

Im not 100% sure because I never had this exact problem, but I just replaced mine three days ago because it was acting up. When I went to take it off it would only come out so far and was stuck. After trying to be as fragile as possible I eventually got it off but it did break in half. My suggestion would be to just get it off by all means necessary without damaging the shaft. also remember the washer behind the nut has tabs that need to be bent down.

I personally would just buy a new one. Yes some people take it apart and clean it and it seems to work but its only a matter of time. Also when I got mine off I tried taking out the small screw that holds both sides together and it snapped. So even if you get it of without breaking it you make still snap that little bolt trying to take it apart. $40 and no more worries. The new one slid on easy. 1 year warranty too, just print out your receipt.
