I am getting mixed info I think about the NSS... I have no reverse lights, and my cel code is comming up as nss but what I'm really wanting to know is if this is causing my transmission to not shift into overdrive. I am going to disassemble and clean my NSS soon either way, but like I said, intermittent problem with overdrive. Sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't. If it's not shifting into overdrive, I throw it into N, and shut off the jeep, then restart it, put it back in D, Then it will shift into OD.

The NSS is directly related to OD isn't it?

 

As far as I know, the NSS just doesn't let the jeep start if it's not in park or neutral.
