Default Np 242 transfer case for a 2001 jeep cherokee

My transfer case is chipping the 4 low shifting hub and this is the second time it happen the first time i replaced the hub but had minimal chips. When i go into 4 low something pops really hard and when i step on it i can hear it chipping and the front two wheels wont spin only the one in back if anyone knows why this keeps happening let me know before taring this t case apart once again.

Sounds like 4-Low is not engaging fully.
Is the Tcase linkage adjusted correctly?
Or could be a bent shift fork.

That is what i also thought so what i did first was to get a new linkage but it did the same thing and the fork was in good shape it had all the pads and everything else looked good also
