So I have 180k on my XJ..all stock all routine maintenance has been done on it...Drives perfect...Are there any parts that I should replace soon such as fuel pump or crankshaft position sensor, starter etc.. as preventive maintenance...how many miles are these and other items good for..as of right now there are no symptoms of anything failing..I just want to be prepared. ...basically anything I should replace that has the potential to leave me stranded.
Thanks,
Joe

Sure you could replace all those parts if you want. Why fix it if it aint broke though? You NEVER know what's going to break next, you just have to roll with the punches, ya know?

Just the belt and hoses.
I carry a spare belt and tools. Also a role of electrical tape and a gallon jug of water for a blown hose. (will get you a ways with the cap off).
