Good morning everyone I have a problem on my 90 renix Cherokee XJ 4000.
This problem presented itself rarely became more frequent and now I can not use the Jeep.
I state that the spark plugs, the distributor cap and rotor, air filter, fuel filter, and coil are new, but nevertheless it is hard to start the engine and does not take the rpm and if If I ask a little bit of power, when on, the car crackles....
Suggestions?
Excuse me for my english I'm from Italy and Please reply in easy english, thanks before to all.
Steve.

Welcome.

I would test the fuel pressure. 31 at idle and should jump to 39 when the rubber hose is pulled from the fuel pressure regulator.

Have you replaced the fuel filter?

I agree with Cruiser54. Test fuel pressure; has to be done with a gauge.

While there are a few things that can cause your issue, it's always simple things first. And that starts with fuel pressure.

Good luck and keep us updated!

Quite common. Did you find this as a result of a fuel pressure test?

X2.. have to agree with Cruiser. That's the best place to start checking. Of course being across the pond.. he'll have to check in kpa I think. At least I had to in Australia.

No... I haven't a gauge. Before buying I've preferred trying to check all I can do by myself.... I supposed fine.... I've think that because my xj is old and never look inside tank...
