After a long build, and having the Jeep sit for a while I finallly got it on the road tonight. But it seems my trans temp is a bit high, but maybe not??
This is where it would sit when cruising around 30 mph, sometimes a tad higher. The sending unit is tapped into the pressure line coming out of the transmission (as per a write up)

I like to see them around 170-180 deg, that's what you'll eventually see if you're running the radiator cooler. Radiator runs in that same temp range.
keep in mind the temp you see at the outlet tube is normally going to be higher than the pan temp. Hit the pan with an infrared thermometer so you can see what it's running with the outlet at 200 deg. I bet the pan is cooler by 10-15 degrees or more.
240-250 deg is absolute upper max, if you hit that I'd change the fluid.
Are you running an aux cooler or relying on the radiator cooler?
