Noob question: What are bastars packs?
I haven't really gotten a straight idea about what these are. I have heard of them but what are they? I heard alot about s10 bastars packs.
Thanks and sorry for a lame question.

A Bastard pack is basically 2 different sets of leaf springs put together to achieve a "lifted" rear leaf spring. You take the main spring off an s10 pack, and add it to the Cherokee pack. And Voila, a bastard is born.

Are bastard packs stable on the highway, and how big of a lift can you acheive? Thanks.

they are and arent like an add a leaf. instead of throwing in 1 thick, rock solid leaf into your existing pack, your taking out the more flat XJ leaves are replacing them with more arched s10, dakota, or Comanche leaves, that still have a spring rate that isnt comparable to a concrete floor. the nice thing about the bastard pack is you dont have to take out any shackle or mounting bolts. if you want to get the most out of the bastard pack, you should get the shackle relocation kit. that way you get a bit of lift from the bastard pack, and the relocation kit, plus the kit will make it ride as nice as stock, with way more flex to boot

so some dudes get pissed if you jack their threads like how you posted in here about something totally unrelated. but its cool no worries, what you do is go to cherokee tech or fab link and when you are looking at all of the posts titles go all the way down to bottom left and there is a blue button that says post new thread. do that and for title put in something like starter problems? help or something and you will be golden. also search on the top for starter because I have a couple starter threads that are older
sorry bastard pack dudes carry on,
