No spark with RENIX system.
ok so my jeep has been down for a year and a half now, and my cousin is bugging me to get it running again to go wheeling. its seems that i gave up on the jeep, i have been building my bike and my galant vr4 and haven't even though about the jeep.
so here is my issue, i tore my tranny seal. the jeep sat for like 3 months before i even touched it, i replaced the seal but didn't out everything back together, waited another couple of months and finally put everything back together. went to start it up and nothing, no spark.
my first obvious guess was the CPS, so i checked and replaced it and still nothing, replaced the distributor still nothing, i had a ASE mechanic come over with his expensive tester and my service manual and everything he could test was fine, even the old CPS.
and thats how its been sitting the last year. poor truck i put so much time and money into it and it just sits. i'm almost over this thing, don't get me wrong if i knew what was wrong it would be fixed already. i guess my next guess would be the PCM.
i would appreciate any input, thanks for your time

Check your grounds... at the terminal of the battery (the connection), and the straps that connect to the engine block (there is one at the back). Perhaps you are just not getting enough juice....

try taking the ignition coil out and clean any corrosion on the two prongs on the coil and the terminals it seats in with fine grit sand paper

I would make sure you have power to the icm,if you do then check the icm and coil,I assume it was running when you parked it so the chances of it being the pcm is remote unless you arc it or got moisture in it. I would look for some corrosion or bad wireing.

If you sure that you've got juice but no spark at all, check the obvious: Grounds (as someone stated), coil, plugs at the coil. I had the wire going from distributor to the coil cleanly vibrated apart, but it wasn't visible - only, when I unplugged it, it fell into 2 pieces :O Replacing plug wire set fixed the issue. Also, check distributor cap and all ignition related plugs for proper seating.
