99 Cherokee no start.no spark.12 v at coil.neg side coil blinks when cranking but no spark?

low tps code. Tried new coil but connector was cut off,99 coil did not fit. It had oval 2 wire coil plug same as our 95 jeep

1998 xj had no spark. Coil circuit code came up .changed coil .still no spark. Wiggled wiring harness aggressively . Fired right up. Wires in harness that ran alongside engine block on passenger side were slightly melted together . Re-routed them away from block . It starts for now. Wish I was more optimistic. Can you get a new quality harness ?

Thanks, I did not check the wiring.bought it not running.someone has put a new older model coil on it and 2wire connector.
