Default No OEM or Replacement SUN VISORS anywhere?!?!

I've searched and searched for replacement sun visors for my 1990 XJ and can't find anything. So I just called a few upholstery shops and was put off by their prices to reupholster. One guy quoted me $50 -- but that was only if I had them do my headliner, too. (The headliner had to be torn out a few years ago but I figured I could handle that reinstall myself. If I can ever find the time...) If I don't have him do the headliner he wants $90 to recover the 2 sun visors! For a new headliner and recovered visors one guy wants $325 and the other wants $275.

Do any of you know of a source for new visors or ones that will fit well enough that I can get in gray???

Thanks in advance.

Do the headliner yourself,& hit the junkyard for the visors.

I spray-painted cardboard and folded them over coat hanger wire for my sunvisors.

I didn't want to pay a professional for their materials, time, and knowledge either.

Did you check eBay? Looks like a good selection from my quick search.

You need to check around to more shops my headliner cost me just over a $120 for a new factory material one and if I would have needed visors it would have been $25 more for the pair. Excellent work by a shop that has been in business for over 25 yrs here in a small town.

Visors are clamshell type. Just carefully pry them open. Can use old fabric as template or lay visor on new material and trace with an additional 1".
I recovered in vinyl for durability.

I'll second Inland Jeep. Sean is a great guy, one of us, knows his ****, and has great prices. I bought my stroker motor from him, as well as a RockKrawler 3 link (yet to be installed)...you can't go wrong with him

Thanks for the ebay reminder, Orlo. Have checked from time to time but nothing until you suggested it now. There's a pair for $40. They look dirty and I know how hard it is to clean that felt-like material so I may pass and recover myself since SteveMongr's look so good. Thanks again, Orlo.

Bleepinjeep has a good how to video on YouTube for clamshell visors.

His buddy has a good video for cardboard visors as well.

So where did you seam them, Steve? Just on the top and sides or top, bottom and sides? Any advice you could give would be great -- and greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance... CJ
