No need to burp open system??
I changed the heater hoses on my '95. I lost alot of fluid, and after replacing the hoses, the radiator is still full and so is the resevoir.
Did some searching, and found the newer open systems (92+) do not need to have the air removed. Not sure whether to believe that or not. Anyone know?
Should I just drive it to hot temp and check later and top off?

Fill it with coolant and start the motor. Let it idle with the rad cap off and add coolant as it drops. When the t-stat opens, some coolant will flow out the top of the rad.....put the rad cap on, continue to let it idle for a bit and check for leaks. For next several days, ENGINE COLD, pop the rad cap and add coolant if needed. Always a good idea to install a new rad cap as they have 2 valves in them and both need to function correctly. When hot, coolant level should rise a little in the overflow bottle and fall a little when the engine has cooled.
