NGK V Power FR5-1 plugs-report from field...
14 months and 26,000 miles ago I bought my 96 Sport w/AW4. Did a complete tune up with new dizzy, wires, plugs, etc. Installed NGK V Power FR5-1 plugs.
Went back in today to see how the plugs were doing. All were burning VERY clean. Electrodes were still in great shape. Gap had gone out to 40-45. So I re-gapped to 35. No need to buy new yet. Also, I cleaned the throttle body and idle air valve again. And replaced a vac hose that was cracked a bit, but probably not leaking yet. Just making sure. All this brought back great smoothness, pick up, and idle. Worth the time and effort. I know plugs are always debatable, so for those that like info, I submit this regarding the NGK's. I like them. |
