Newer parts on an older body?
Are any of the newer year body parts capable of going on an 89 body? like the front/back bumper.. lights.. grill.. etc.? just curious - post a pic if you have on im getting ideas, just wondering what to change next. lift or body work ill take a few and post them up tomorrow

i know the pics arent up yet but i have a question...what are you using the jeep for once you get the lift? few inches for a higher stance and bigger tires or are you planning on wheeling alittle? cuz if its the latter then id go with the lift cuz if you go out riding and ding something up you just put on then youll be pissed. and youll get alot more use and fun out of your investment with the lift. but if your going for looks and alittle revamp then go for the parts. but yes you can find jeep oem parts that will fit your 89' unless your going to the junkyard for it and try to mix a match parts...then good luck and let me know what works!

Yea, hoping for just looks not much wheelin im not much of a rock crawler, more of a dune lover, so a 2" is about it that I heard i can get from new leafs but was hoping to redo the front and back bumper, and front headlights to make them newer looking

Evidently the replacement bumper I was given with my '95 is a later year, so I had to redrill holes. No big problem, really.

very cool, im going to goto the junk yard and look this saturday at the body they have out there, id love like a newer light setup!

To put the end caps on from a 97 or newer you will have to swap front fenders also to newer ones because they were cut higher for them to wrap around. The rear will have the same problem as the quarter panels were changed. I think swap the header panel, lights and grille to a 97up one should work.
