Newer intake mmanifold fact or myth
Ive read on alot of sites that if you install the intake manifold from a newer Jeep to the older motors, theres supposed to be alot of HP gain. I just got the new issue of JP magazine and it says they acctually lost power from this swap.
Has anyone done this swap and what happened?

Nope, but jeep mag is jeep mag, they would know. They do nothing but dyno and review. I have that issue, and they said they tested it on the dyno, so i would believe it

I wanna do the swap cause I have alot of other mods and think it would help alot but those manifolds arent cheap to come by unless your lucky and find one in the junk yard. Would love to find one and port the heck out of it!

So other than the manifold, the other part I need is the power steering bracket from the newer doner and thats it? Ive also read that mustang 19# injectors from 86-93 will clip right in and are a good increase. Is this true?

there is a bunch of info on injectors on here (almost to much) from what i have read 2.4 neon injectors out 94-96 are the way to go.
but here is all of it if you can sort it out

imo and from what i have gathered from JP and stuff its only going to help if its paired with other mods like...better injectors, exhaust, intake,TB work, header and stuff like that, if your xj is like stock then it might actually give you zero gain or possibly negative gains.

Not to be a dick or anything, but Neons never came with a 2.4 (unless you're talking about the '03 - '05 SRT-4) and they weren't introduced until '95. I'm guessing you mean Stratus injectors.

FWIW, I have the 00+ manifold..19lb Ford Explorer Injectors,Ported TB,K&N FIPK....Every one who drives my jeep can believe how torque it is....for your 91 you will need the 97+PS bracket and the Intake...otherwise it is a direct bolt on.
