All I can recommend is that you go through your new Cherokee stem to stern to get the maintenance up to date.

Drain the cooling system and run distilled water through it two or three times before finally filling it with 6 quarts of antifreeze and the rest distilled water. Check the condition of hoses. Top off the battery with distilled water if applicable. Drain the transmission if it has a drain plug, refill with Dexron III/Mercon or better, drive a few miles, and repeat four times. You'll practically have flushed the transmission with new fluid. Replace transfer case fluid. Replace the differential fluid with synthetic of the proper weight especially if towing. Flush your brake hydraulic system every two years. Check the brake linings. Replace the fuel filter. Put in a set of spark plugs at every multiple of 30,000 miles on the odometer. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. You bought yourself a bullet proof machine. Happy motoring.
