New XJ owner

Just picked up a "new to me" XJ, it looks like it just rolled down a mountain but I have to admit this thing is BUILT.

I really don't know what else I can do to it.

You just bought alot of long nights of work, looks good.

WarthogXJ 04-22-2008 08:56 PM

I think I got a pretty good deal since I only spent $3k on it

Well that all depends on how well the work on it was done.

WarthogXJ 04-22-2008 11:49 PM

Well the rig was owned by an owner of a offroad shop here and I had a rockcrawling/mechanic buddy look it it and he said that beside the fact that its dented up its in perfect shape and that he has never seen a cage so well done and the cost to fab that alone is well above the price I paid for the entire rig

BigVaz 04-22-2008 11:57 PM

Wow, that thing is Reedunkulous!!!

nad 04-23-2008 04:29 AM

That thing looks serious. I'm sure there's more you could do, or update. What did you buy this for? Trails and not daily driving, I hope.

WarthogXJ 04-23-2008 07:28 AM

I bought it as a fun daily driver sometimes during the summer (which its doing right now with zero problems) but mostly for a trail rig

OBA or maybe a F/R winch?

Well I think it looks awesome. Send us some more detailed pics. BTW Welcome to CF from here in South Texas.

Again awesome. I like the dash and your Jeep's use on the blank areas for gauge placement. That is a novel way to gusset the trackbar. Cheap but effective.
Judging by the selected axles, upgrades are needed there to make it as tough on the trails as it appears to be.
I still think you have an awesome Jeep.

Get rid of that Dana35 as soon as possible
