New tires - Treadwrights AT

Hey all,

It's been a few days and I'm going to post my thoughts on my new jeep upgrade. After a long period of letting my old tires reach their safe limit, I decided on a A/T tread (no M/T as I decided that I don't run muddy trails and planned on driving a lot in the snow). I liked the value and was convinced by the very positive reviews so I went with Treadwright, a set 4 30x8.50R15 AT, pumas (which I think is a silly name). but anyway they seem to be a solid tire for 68.11ea and with shipping I spent around $325, I could request BFGoodrich casings, and which is within my budget and allowed me to upgrade from the 29" kumhos I had. btw the kuhmos were a very reliable tire that I ran for almost 4years zero issues. I would buy again if situation was different.:) Awesome deal overall.
The tread pattern is okay, although I wanted the pattern that comes on the 31" AT but its not offered and cant be accommodated. The tread compound is softish, its been in the teens recently and they remained soft, but it makes me wonder how soft they will be in the +90's
It seemed pretty clear to me where the cap was physically joined to the carcass tire, and the little bits of extra rubber from the whole process gave me the first impression of poor quality control. but as the weather has cleared and the snow melted off them, they looked much better and I think the only thing a passerby would question is the strange tread pattern.
So I've decided that I like the look, tread pattern, and the jeeps stance overall. I only wish I had mounted the sidewalls out!! what was I thinking?
haha

Not a bad looking tire at all. As long as you like them and they serve their purpose thats all that matters right!

EUGENE, I like them a lot so far, they seem strong and ride smoothly, they are a little heavier than what I had before but I feel its been worth it. I wish I could have gotten the 31" tire they offer because I prefer the look a little better but 31's wont fit without some lift. 30's are the max and should last me a few years if I keep it aligned.
