well not new to the xj so much as new to wheeling them...starting with a wrecked 99 i'm building a weekend rig/daily driver from low $$$$ job with pics as i go and info as well as asking questions along the way...

first big question.. how much lift does it take to CLEAR 33s i'm getting mixed answers on this i have plans to end up at about 6in lift but not right away i am currently at about 4-4.5in? and am running stock 15x8 rocky mountain wrangler wheels.

thanks

im running 7" with 33's and my fenders are trimmed for flew reasons but if you dont have a lot of flex than a 4.5 with the same amount of trim will suffice

your gonna want to trim out the fenders heres mine with trimmed fenders like i said before im at 7" and 33's i have since trimmed the little flair off and at the time of this pic it was sittin at 8" of lift this is flex before i fixed the springs they were not on the perch's correctly and dropped it an inch now i can tuck the tire into the fender well and the purple is gone it now is truck bed coated
