Default New Owner of a 99 XJ, Headlights not working.

Hello all,

Earlier this week I bought a 1999 Cherokee Classic. Picked it up for $700 knowing it had some rot issues. Needs rockers and a new floor pan. Figured I could weld the new parts on no problem. Knew the heat didn't work when I bought it.(that will be a whole other thread lol) Got it home and went to move it at night to do a quick oil change and found out the headlights don't work. (stupid thing to not look for when buying a car I know.)

I replaced one of the lamps and tested, didn't come on. I'm wondering what the issue could be. Markers, parking, brake lights all work no problems. Hazards blink as the should. Checked all the fuses under the passenger kick panel. They all tested fine. Is there a relay under the hood?

I did some searching and saw some similar issues were fixed by swapping the headlight switch, haven't tried that yet. Think that's the issue?

Headlight switch is most likely the culprit.

check fuses and relays, then move onto the headlight switch

Popped in the new headlight switch and all lights are working as they should.

All in all for me the switch was really easy to get at.
