New to me 88 XJ issues
I picked up an 88 Cherokee 4.0 4wd today for $600 with the understanding it had some issues. The biggest issue is the stalling... It will start fine and drive for awhile. I havent had a chance to diagnose it yet, maybe ya'll experts can lead me in the best direction to start. I've heard the evaporator canister can clog and cause stalling, is this true?

I always assume, when buying a used vehicle, that even if the guys before me maintained it well, he probably put off that last tuneup and oil change longer than he should have. Start with the basics. Cruisers tips are legendary and a great source of all around knowledge when getting into jeeping. Plugs wires cap and rotor are on the cheap easy side also.
Clean clean clean! That's the first and cheapest thing you can do. Sometimes you notice things like frayed wires and connections as you go. And... it's FREE!
