Default Needing help with a 1992 Cherokee

Hey fellow jeepers!
i have had a Jeep Cherokee sitting in my yard for a while now...
it used to be my dads but he never uses it and it takes up space.
im looking to make it into a off-roader... is'nt that what jeeps are for?

anyway, it leaks a ton of oil.
im thinking it is the front main crankshaft seal... the crankshaft damper needs replacing too, the valve cover gasket is terrible also and it needs a serpentine belt change.

is replacing the front main seal and damper worth doing myself?
would it take long to do?
Thanks guys!

i really want this jeep to become up and running again!
