Default need spot light help!!

I have a unity Ow 97 spotlight.it was wired into the accessory port in the fuse panel and kept blowing the radio fuse, so i wired it straight to the battery with a thirty amp inline fuse, turn it on and it works for a second then pops that fuse also.now I'm not sure where to go from here.Any helpwould be appreciated! You need to start with specs on the light.

You need to run it through a relay. Use heavier wire and trigger the relay however you like. Where is the switch?

Edit:
Disregard all that. I see what kind of light it is now.

I agree. Short in the light.

If it blows a 30amp fuse you probably have a pinched wire somewhere causing a short circuit. Could even be inside the light casing itself. Try powering them up with the lights disconnected. If the fuse pops its definitely a shorted wire somewhere. If it doesn't pop, try doing it again with only one light connected then both. That will tell you where the short is.

On a very important note, you should always use a relay running ANY lights. Running high powered wires to a switch is just asking for trouble. You can find how to wire lights all over google. It's not that complicated and wayyyy safer

How would you run a relay into that style light with the switch on the handle? Seems like it would come with some sort of harness with a relay setup in it. Or maybe a relay inside the housing.

Sorry, didn't realize if was a spot light.

Forget the relay thing. like mentioned before, you must have a short somewhere. If it only pops when you turn it on, your problem is after the switch..

The switch is built in to the bottom ofthe shaft. So i should wire through a relay you think?no experience with that, but I'm guessing it should be fairly easy.I'll try looking for a short but ijust ran new wire and its still doing the same thing.should i take apart the housing around the switch and look for a wiring problem in there?n
