I found this while I was helping my parents move. I'm more of an iPod guy, I was thinking of taking out the cassette deck and putting in an iPod dock, or ditching all the internals and making it into a cooler. What would you guys do with this?

I would have an electronics repair shop install an ipod dock without removing the original features. How old is that thing anyway? It's pretty sweet as it is.

Its from back in the days when my parents had a Jeep Cherokee so late 90's probably about a decade old.

But I'm not sure were there would be room for a dock w/o removing something. It has an aux port so it would be very simple to do as far as wiring.

Damn, I just looked, you can't find these things anywhere and the places you can all have them listed as "discontinued." One place had the price listed as $150.00. Kind of pricey, maybe I'll think twice before cutting into this and just let it serve it's original purpose.

you should mount it to your bumper and tell people its an old school winch and if they get stuck and ask you to recover them just blast some tunes while someone else gets them out haha

I could see Fiat wanting Jeep without the rest of Chrysler, honestly...

Not that I dislike Chrysler or Dodge, but Jeep was, is and always will be a money-spinning brand for whoever owns it.

On the subject of the boom box, though, I'd keep it stock. I haven't seen one of those in a very long time...pretty cool, actually.
