Default need new speakers

I have a 2001 xj with the Infinity sound system , I have a kenwood head unit and a 1000w bass speaker , what I need is to replace all 4 61/2 speakers . I like the OE speakers but they are 17 years old and starting to go bad . I'd like to get some that sound just as good or better . thanks for reading this and helping if you can .

Check with Crutchfield. They have a wealth of info. You might find what you need.

rockford fosgates will blow you away if you like equality in your music, was in a friends car that had 2 speakers and these things sounded better than alot of "premium" systems.... if theyre supplied the right rms watts

Best bet would be a set of component speakers. That will allow you to place the tweeter at the appropriate location, and the crossover will remove some of the bass from your front speakers. You already have a sub, and low frequencies are omnidirectional, therefore, you do not need bass up front. If not getting components, a set of two way speakers will be good. A suggestion I would make is, if driving alone, you can adjust the fade so that treble comes mostly from the front speakers. This should provide you with a better sound stage than having treble at full blast on all four speakers.

My sis got these for her vehicle. They sound pretty good.

Personally, on my car, I have got two way Memphis Audio 4x6 speakers in the front door panel, no- name tweeters on the sail panels, and 10 in Rockford Fosgates in the trunk facing back. The setup sounds pretty decent.

The Infinity sound system has separate tweeters up front and I already changed them so those are good . I just want a full range speaker that has a vary good sound because the OE speakers are that way . the rockford fosgates mite be good , does anyone else have some that they have used and like ?
