Engine: AMC 242 High Output I6

need help telling which transfer case i have

i have a 1995 4door automatic transmission, AMC 242 H.O. I6 engine with a command track 4x4...

i've narrowed it down to a 207/231???

i need to know so i can buy the right SYE kit to fix my binding DS issue.

You have a 23 spline NP-231 transfer case.

The "commandtrac" denotes the 231, "Selectrac" would denote the NP242.

they didnt make amc 242 high outputs by the way.. and they dont have amc motors in 95s either

What other spline counts does it come in, and what years have which?
Particulary, are 93 and 98 the same?
