Unhappy Need Help - Leaf Spring Bolts

I have a 1991 XJ that I am trying to remove the leaf springs and shackles on. The bolts will not budge. I have soaked the bolts each day for the past 2 days with PB Blaster. I also tried brake cleaner to help remove some muck and still no luck. I can not even get them to budge. Any suggestions on a way that I could remove them? Thanks.

I thought about that but the front bolt screws into the nut inside the frame. On the rear I am removing the shackle with bolts the same as the front.

cut the nut in half? or cut the bolt close to nut then grind nut down a bit then use a 3' breaker bar to break it loose?

There is not a nut visible. Like I said it is inside the frame rail. I can cut the head of the bolt off but I still will have a bolt in there.

i had the same problem with mine. you have to cut near the bolt head on the inside just before the metal sleeve that is around the bolt. that is what is preventing it from coming out. then you have to use vise grips or pliers to twist out the half of the bolt that does not have a head on it. it takes some time but can be done and i'm only 17

Age is only a # bro experience in a field it what matters. As for the bolts what have you used to get them off(breaker bar, what size Impact) if you have used a big bar and a BIG impact and no luck then cut them off and fix it after. If the bolt is in the frame you could drill it and re thread it if it came to that.

are you using a breaker bar on it or are you just using a wrench and keep soaking it but make sure you are spraying the metal bushing that is your attack area

Tapping it with a metal hammer immediately after spraying and tightening it about 1/16 (ONLY DO THIS ONCE!!!) of a turn may help break the corrosion.
