NASTY VIBE
I've had this vibration for a while now. Its only under hard acceleration, up until about 20mph. I also noticed that it will happen even if the tires arent moving. EX: If i pull up to a wall and press the gas, it will vibrate even before the tires start to spin.
Ive ruled out all the u-joints in the driveline, and wheel bearings. The motor mounts seem stiff and the motor doesnt move at all really.
I have a new poly tranny mount that im putting in along with my new AA SYE. I also noticed that the output shaft bearing in the t-case has some play in it.
Im hoping that the SYE and the new tranny mount will take care of the problem.
Any ides?

where do you feel the vibe? does it feel like there is slack in the d/s when you put the pedal down or it feels like it "catches" before you start forward movement?

you can feel in equally on both sides of the truck, Ive driven and ridin in it and it feels and sounds the same on both sides. And no slack in the driveline, exept when i let off the gas sometimes, something vibrates right under my seat but i think thats the 4wd linkage.

ive been having the same issue but mine shows at 20-30 and then disppears till about 55 and is gone by 65. i did all my u joints and fluids recently..im leaning more towards a bad front hub assembly..going to check that and the ball joints before i try to align it. trying to find a new trans mount cause mine is looking tired but am having a heck of a time finding one for a 2001...tried a few now and none of them fit all have a big offset in stud placement...didnt think about the dampener..ill be checking that too.
