My XJ no low beams headlight issue, solved, video included
99 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L, made in Venezuela. Not sure if this will apply to all, but this solved my no-low-beams issue.
Short story : the car was crashed (by my sister in law) on the front passenger side. Since the problem started after the repair, I was checking connections on that inner fender. This is how I ran into the issue.
As I state in the video, it seems they did a relay conversion of some kind. Not sure if the relays here are OEM. They are on the OEM wiring harness (it seems).
Just a quick what I found in case it helps somebody. :-) And sharing because I am happy I fixed it.. :-)

No, that's an aftermarket harness conversion. The stock headlight harness doesn't have relays and all the power supplied to the headlights comes directly thru the switch. That's why the headlight switches are known to burn out. With the conversion harness the stock headlight switch only supplies the trigger signal for the relays.

Thats what I thought. Funny thing on my last trip to USA I brought a conversion harness. I guess it will be up for resell.. :-)
Thanks for the info.

Before you sell it, make sure you can find replacement relays for the one you have. Otherwise, keep it for a back-up.
