Didn't you say you ordered an $80 unit 3 days ago?

And why do you think you'd be successful in dissecting an electrical component when it took you over 3 days to remove a freakin nut?

But, go ahead and crack that nut open! I look forward to the next 50 posts of this saga.

No, I haven't ordered anything.

There is no nut. There seem to be 4 rivet looking thing.
I ground one down with Dremel grinder, but now the metal is just smooth.

No idea.

There was a post in this forum recently about opening up and lubing the motor assembly:

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/fix...-wiper-190742/

I'll have to try it on the rear wiper motor I took out of mine, if the motor is otherwise good I'll lube it up and keep it on the shelf for when the junkyard part slows down or stops.

Rambler, you're awesome.

I didn't see that thread.
I am exactly on that step.
Drilled out the rivets and the cover is open.

I will now try to bash the shaft out.

Just to update the thread, I wasn't able to remove the shaft for cleaning, so I installed a junkyard part, and we're back in business.

Thanks Ramber and Caged for helping me get 'er done.
