My old cherokee is headed to the junk yard (unless anyone in the NY area wants a freebie).

It is a 1993 manual. My new one is a 2000 auto. What should I strip from it before I junk it? Is the transfer case the same with auto and stick? Drive shafts?

Thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Got a place to park it in your yard? Keep it for parts you may need in the future.

O how I wish you were parting it out. I really need a grille lol. But x2 on the parking it. You ever know when someone or even yourself may need some parts. Or ever part it out yourself. Make some $$$.

If I had a place to keep it, I would build it big. I have to get rid of it. And I'd give you the grill if it wasn't broken.

93 to 00, auto and stick. i'm afraid nothing is compatible, really.
the tranny has different spline count, same as the t-case, besides, auto/stick.
even the driveshafts are different.

i woulda said the front hp30, but it will have different gear ratio, so not worth a regear.

interior is different, grille/fenders/doors/hatch, everything is different.

the 00 will likely have an 8.25 if no abs, and the 93 will be d35, so even a total axle swap isn't worth it.

sorry, nothing except maybe the rims and glass would be worth anything to ya. but then again, maybe not.

bummer.
what's wrong with the 93?
