I dont know what you are gonna do about the Paint. But alot of people have started Rhino lining the outside instead of painted it since it is alot more durable.

Guys in his pull down "My Cherokee" He itimates that it is a 2WD and his plans are to make a "pre-runner" out of it. He is confused about which rear differential he has but I think he has a D35 in that year but it may be a 8.25.
We need to see what he wants us to help him with on it. 4WD conversion or a 2WD lift or whatever. Let's see what he asks us about.

He indicates that his XJ is a 99 which isnt the case for that picture so we need to wait for his response.

i have a white one that is a 2wd and its a 99 but the one that is in the picture is a 4x4 and it is a 88. you can kind of see the white one in the background of the pic. i was thinking about making my new one a tubed out buggy.

So it looks like you have some starting ideas, what part of your build do you have questions about?

i have no idea what kind of suspension would be best for crawling. i was thinking about getting a custom suspension done becuause i am going to tub it out. i am so confused on what to do because this is my fourth cherokee and it is my first 4x4 one so i have never really had to think about any of this kind of stuff before, i was always a pre-runner kind of guy and you really dont need that good of suspension to pre-run.

Seems like you have a DD, so this can be a toy! If I were you, I would start with a good LA kit. That way you aren't replacing it down the road, like some us are. 6" would be a great amount of lift, easy fit for 35", or 37" with some trimming. As far as axles, I would use some JY axles from a old 3/4 ton Ford truck. Those should be D60s, and the diff is on the driver side, so you don't have to fool with the T-case. I hope you can fab, because your gonna be spending some big $ if you don't do the work! Anyway, I hope this offers some help to ya!! Good luck, keep us posted on your progress!! PEACE OUT!!!
