OK so I have a leak that has been going on for a couple months now but in the past week or two has gotten worse (it also overheated because of the thrown belt so leak getting worse isn't a big suprise).

Now the problem is I have not been able to isolate where the leak is coming from- it is either the upper radiator hose right by the T-stat housing, the T-stat housing itself or the H2O pump. None of them are very expensive to fix, but how the heck do you figure out where the nasty neon green gunk is coming from? I have cleaned it a couple times and still can't figure out where it is from other than I am pretty sure it is not the hose...

Frustrating. Any tips or should I just tear it down and replace the water pump and a new T-stat housing gasket? Water pump and gastket are only about $30 total.

I would just replace water pump, gasket, t-stat housing, and t-stat. They're all pretty inexpensive and easy to replace.

 

X2 just replace it all, I would flush the systemjust do it BEFORE you change everything.

 

Sounds like a plan for the weekend- I have to replace the alternator as well as mine has died. :-)

I am going to attempt to get the A/C going as well- it hasn't worked since I got it.
