I sent my buddy that pic of what my jeep is gonna look close to....its 6" on 35's.

He says it looks horrible and it wont articulate without tearing the fenders out. I know the above jeep has stock untrimmed fenders...he reccomneded 33's...however i think with 6.5" 33's will look silly. Am i making a mistake geting 35's? does anyone have pics of there ride with 6.5/35's and fenders trimmed the way they are supose to be? What backspacing rims would i need? 4"? thanks! for any help

I would go with 35's, then trim and bump stop accordingly.. 33's would be a tad small. But then again, I am planning on running 4.5" of lift and 37's, so I may be biased.

And the fenders are cut in that picture, with the flare relocated.

Alot of people go with 4-4.5" backspacing... but I went with 3.50ish i think... I like the wider stance. It looks cooler IMO, and feels more stable.

Actually the jeep in that pic looks trimmed in the front, or maybe its just a optical issusion, but im pretty sure it is. Either way, it look like it will still have enough travel, if not throw a 1 or 2 inch puck and some longer shackles in back and just lift it more.

imo i would run 33's with a 6.5" then your not stretching out your gear ratio's and you would need to trim a bit to do so.... i'm running 8.5" on my big truck and running 35's isn't bad. but mine is long-armed and fully flexible without trimming... there's a little more to it then just adding a spacer and shackle in just to get that extra 2"

im on 6.5" and 33's with no trimming , with some trimming ive actually been thinking of going to 35's , i rub now when i flex hard tho but its not that bad , some guy around here had one for sale with the same life i do but on 35s and for some reason his looked alot bigger then mine , he swore it was 6.5" lift but it just seems alot bigger then that, an his deffiniton of wheeling is driving down a dirt road and small puddles lol
heres one that was for sale

Man, I'm finishing up a 6.5" RC lift that the p.o. started on my new XJ. I just ordered tires and wheels and was questioning my choice on 33x12.5". I'm so glad to read these last 4 post, Esp. your pic Dirk! That seals the deal I'm super stoked! What back spacing are your wheels in that pic Dirk? I got 3.75" so I ordered a set of bushwacker's in fear of the local cops! They seem to like to give people a hard time in my area, but it's NJ so I'm sure it's like that all over this state.

heres mine on 33's and im really happy, and running 35's only actually only gives an inch of more ground clearance
