My 4.0 has been running pretty hot lately, and thought it was either gonna be the thermostat, water pump, or something along those lines. The recovery/catch can always had coolant up to the full level so I ASSUMED it had plenty of antifreeze/coolant in the radiator, well today I got around to draining my old antifreeze, and noticed the rubber hose that runs from the overflow/recovery tank was plugged up with gunk, so I was low on antifreeze, replaced the hose, filled her up with fresh prestone antifreeze/coolant, and now it runs at about 195 on the dot! Call me an idiot, lol, but I just assumed the radiator had plenty of coolant just by looking at the overflow tank, so I'm just letting you guys know that if you have any overheating issues, check out that hose! Hope I can save someone a headache, lol. Now I can take the hoses, thermostat, and radiator cap back to O'reilly's and get some more goody's for my Jeep!
