My 96 xj is acting weird. A couple weeks ago she was having problems starting. It apparently fixed itself. Then it started to feel like all the wheels are turning at different speeds and shes not quite sure what gear shes in. Then I started getting a whining sound from underneath near the trans only when I start it...goes away after warm up. If I drive it any distance she gets real hot and shuts down. And now the speedometer is bouncing around like crazy. I feel like it's all related...or maybe shes possessed!! Shes been my daily driver for 12 years.

Add all information at your disposal including 2WD/4WD, transmission, transfer case, engine and history of the ole girl .
