I accidentally ordered an 84-96 Warrior Products Rock Crawler #563 rear bumper instead of the correct 97-01 #568 rear bumper. I have had the bumper for a couple of months waiting for spring and just realized my mistake today. Does anyone have experience with this type of mismatch issue?

I dont know what the differences are, but if you want the right part you may be able to exchange it, even after a couple months. Depends on the seller. Where did you buy it? Do you still have the receipt? Did you try to install it yet? Was it even opened? Does the seller have the correct bumper in stock? Who pays the return shipping? I have dealt with sellers in the past that, even after a couple months, were willing to exchange parts for the correct parts as they understand that many projects take time and parts might not be installed right away. Some provide you with an RMA, others do not. You will have to contact the seller. Custom ordered parts are usually a no-go and wont be exchanged unless the seller made a mistake.

Thank you for the response. I ordered from Quadratec, but the item was drop-shipped from Warrior Products. I haven't opened the box yet.

I haven't approached either business with the possibility of a return/exchange yet, but I did receive a quick response from Warrior telling me that the current 563 and 568 models are essentially the same. Apparently, older models were different but they updated the 563 to provide the same hatch clearance as the 568. Honestly, they both look exactly the same externally from the photos I can find online, so since Warrior tells me they both mount the same, I'll give bolting it on a shot. I have to grind out a couple of spots for reinforcement supports first, so probably won't tackle the whole thing until next weekend.
