Default motor mounts wont line up!!!!! WTF

Hey guys i am in the process of changing motor mounts. I bought some Brown dog ones. I got the driver one in then went to do the passenger side and it wont even come close to lining up! I tried using a come along to move the motor so it fits but no luck. The Stud is off about 1 inch toward the front of the mount and the hole is about the same. Its like the mount is set too far back. Both the old motor mounts were shot and separated when i took them out. I even loosened the tranny mount. I am at a loss right now. Has anyone had this problem? The only way i think i can fix it is to cut off the bushing and make my own bottom part of the mount so it fits right.

I read your post. unless the motor mount is wrong, you need to line it up. if the the trans mount is lose, could the engine be to low? I changed out mine with the autozone mounts and they dropped right in.

I called brown dog and he is very helpful and a nice guy. He wants me to check the tranny mount and see if its shot. Also i was wondering why i can't move the motor with the tranny mount unbolted and both motor mounts unbolted? Could the exhaust be holding it up?
