Search Injector Upgrades and you'll have all your answers. You can use Dodge Neon fuel injectors or Ford 19 lb injectors from a 5.0L Explorer. The stock Cherokee has a one hole spray and the types I mentioned have a 4 hole spray pattern. This makes the fuel atomize better and makes for an increase in gas mileage, throttle response, and smoother idle. I used Ford 19 lb injectors adn my MPG went from 11.6 to 13.2, so they do work. Also, it is a direct swap. Here's pretty much all the GOOD info https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/mor...13848/index13/ but it doesn't hurt to search around.

It's all on the forum. Just search injector upgrade and they'll be plenty of threads on it. A forum member that goes my the name "rainman" seems to have done lots of research and pretty much knows all there is to know about it.

If you get 16-19mpg then be happy. Also adjust your throttle cable.

All the little things don't do much unless you do a lot of them and then you end up with a little for a lot. Better to be happy and spend the money elsewhere.

Might as well turbo it with a straight pipe at that point.

Way too much for a stock XJ! The 19 lb are more than enough and they push the same 49 PSI as stock. Check the link I posted earlier so you can see the chart of what can be used. You would be able to use the 24 lb injectors for a stroker, turbo, or supercharged XJ, but it's way too much for a stock XJ. If it did run with those, the gas mileage would be horrendous and the power would be non-existent. It would just bog.
