More power
I now live in farm country and dont have to smog! Is there some easy possibly free things to do to get more power out of my 96 Cherokee Classic!
Also I keep loosing my dome light at the fuse plus my blinkers and tail lights flicker when in use and sometimes pops the fuse too??? Anyone been there?

you could bore your throttle body out and get some kinda different intake. everyone will tell you TB spacers are just fancy paper weights and chips are a waste. look into some kinda high flow cat and cat back exhaust.

do the basic intake and exhaust, either bore out ur tb or buy one thats been bored, if i remember someone seels this for ur year with a chip, i think bu thats like 300 bucks, but other that that there aint much choice on power gains, other than a super charger or turbo if u wanna get exotic

ok the fact remains that there is alot of controversy about power mods on the 4.0. I personally knocked out my cat and put some spark arrestors in so as not to catch the forest on fire, just in case. and i get a little more power out of it. Its free and it takes 30 minutes. I dont know how much a chip would do, especially being so pricey. I know they kick ***** on deisels but on gas engines I've never seen one so i dont know. What I have seen and know is a guy who took a turbo charger out of a pt cruiser and modified his ride to take it. It's a small turbo charger so there isn't much turbo lag. Alot of what you can do depends on what you are going to be doing with it. If you like mud bogging and high rpm's then the turbo charger is the way to go. If you are more partial to the rocks like myself then you want all the low end response you can get, in which you can add displacement. There are alot of modifications out there just too much controversy on which works

So yeah the thread was about more power for cheap not high flow cats or anthing like that...
Do a new intake for cheap its maybe 30 bucks for a cone filter and some PVC pipe.
As for just anthing else other than the exhuast i cant think of anything. maybe larger injectors but they would cost some cash
