Default Missing link(double shackle)?

Has anyone ever ran missing links in the rear of the xj? They are double jointed shackles that allow more flex. I have a set from a old sami i used to have, the sami world uses them with sucess on thier rigs.

I would not want to be off camber, and have the uphill shackle unload.

I also would not want to drive them on the street.

I ran some on my sammy front and rear years ago with great success. I never had them unload on hills up or down or while driving or any of that and it was a very built rig that got some serious wheeling!. Im not sure how they would do on a XJ every rig is different. As you can see in this pic you can get some great flex with a missing link shackle..Mine are not even fully open in this pic

if you're worried about unloading both sides, just use a limiting strap on the center of the diff. that way you still get full flex at each wheel, but only independently, just the way you want.

i've got a brand new set of terraflex revolvers in the box that i've had for a few years, i might put them in when i put my sye in, but not sure yet.

My buddy has them on his XJ with a new RC lift, but he hasn't wheeled them much yet... Although on the road the STIFF leafs shoot the back end up like a pogo stick every time he hits a bump, so he wants to make quick discos for the revolvers! That way when he's on the highway they don't open up on the bumps!!!
