Metallic "flakes" where exhaust mani connects to block
I think I have a small exhaust leak, but I don't think it's from this location. Is this a common thing? (Not the leak, I know that's common, but the metallic buildup) I'm not sure of its a part of the gasket that slipped out of place, or if hats actually something that happens from the heat and gasses. I'm not sure what it is. Help me out

That looks pretty normal too me, its the gasket pretty much expanding. Wouldn't worry about it unless you see black exhaust spots along the manifold, then you've got a leak in the gasket, but now its normal.

The gasket is metal that's what your seeing and its normal. If the exhaust manifold is leaking you can tell by the tubes color,If one is a different color then the rest its leaking from that one.The other way is a temp gun if one tube is colder then the rest its leaking.
