Default NGK Ignition Coil

Hey all. Been freshening up my Cherokee as I have a few long distance winter trips with it coming up (had to change out the crank position sensor and also recently started developing the #3 cylinder heatsoak issue so I decided to do the OEM fix on all six injectors). I grabbed some new NGK plugs for it (its an 01) and with 15 years and 155k miles on the stock ignition coil, I decided to grab a new NGK ignition coil as well (100 bucks cheaper than OEM). After buying the ignition coil I started reading forum posts about the horror stories people have with aftermarket ignition coils (Accel, MSD, etc.), but I could barely find anything on NGK (I recently realized NGK is pretty new to the game, started making ignition coils in 2017 according to their website). Has anybody heard anything about NGK coils/anyone with personal experience? I know the coil can be a bit of a pain to change, and if this one is crap I'd rather not waste the time putting it in. Thanks in advance.

NGK is top of the line. You shouldn't have any issues. The part number for a 2001 4.0 l6 is NGK 48662 and should include all of the coils. It looks like a super easy install.

Does NGK have lifetime warranty on the rail? That would be great if they did.

Thanks. Yeah I saw that it has all the coils, I've just heard that sometimes unplugging the wire in the back can be a pain.

They don't have a lifetime warranty on it, but it is a 3 yr/36000 mi warranty, which is 1 year and 12000 miles longer than OEM.
