I have a 1997 Grand Cher. Limited with power mirrors and power seats with memory. I noticed that the memory buttons remain illuminated all the time. I know it is not much draw on the battery but are they supposed to remain illuminated? Manual mentions that window control illumination will remain on for up to 30 seconds or until you open the door then go out. They do go out like they are supposed to but the memory buttons do not. any suggestions?

 

can someone else go out tonite and look at their 97 or 98 cherokee with memory and check to see if the memory control backlights on your drivers side door are remaining on after you shut off vehicle?
