Default Manual window crank problem

So i have a 93 jeep cherokee and the passenger side window was working just fine until one day i rolled it down and when i went to roll it up it stop and started grinding. Well i hold the window and pull it like an eight of an inch and it rolls up just fine, but is the problem. Its the regulator i think and i dont know where to get one at online and how much they cost. I want manual not power windows. Whats the price on them? I cant find any where on the internet where its just manual windows not power.

help a wheeler out!

I have the same exact problem on my drivers side. If I leave the window up about a quarter of the way it works fine. Sucks when you cant hang out the window to see where your front tire is going while low speed wheeling. And power window motors are all I can find for replacements.

GLAD to see I am not the ONLY one out there with the P.I.T.A. window problem!!!

my side (a.k.a. drivers side) window is grindin and hard as heel to go up.

rolls down just fine!

an yeah I been searching internet too for MANUAL window regulator. NO joy.

I had my door taken apart once a while back to see if I could fix it somehow as it was making me insane! ( I am over it now).

what I found was the plastic thingy that the crank uses to put pressure on to roll up is shot or near shot causing the grinding and hard roll up sequence.

so......with that being said, when I DO decide to fix it, looks like I gotta hit the junkyards to see what I can salvage.

if anyone comes across a second-source internet locale for the manual regulator assy, please post here for us non-power window folks! (i cannot find one, but i am not a web geek. just a lonesome jeep guy )

cheers!
