Manual to automatic transmission swap help!
Hey Guys!
I have a 1991 Jeep cherokee XJ. The jeep is in pristine condition. I love it. One thing I don't love about it tho, would be a manual transmission. I do a lot of driving in the city and start-stop driving is killing me and my leg. So... I decided that I would like to swap an automatic transmission ( since selling the jeep is not an option. Too nice XJ ). My problem is that I don't know exactly all the parts that I'm gonna need.
I know that I need a tranny, tranny wiring harness, shifter assembly, but what else? Also, I know that '97 and up parts won't fit. What year can I use then?

Old fart with a wrench
If you already own a 2001, why would you mess with a pristine 91 and screw it up?
