Default major issues

I have a 94 Cherokee and I'm rebuilding it and I'm stuck right now. First I changed my oil pan and my dad told me to use rtv and I heard that's a big mistake because its not to be used with rubber gaskets and now its leaking way worse then before. Second my lower coolant line coming from the water pump won't stop leaking I didn't see any cracks so I took the old line off and put Indian head and then put a brand new hose on and its still leaking bad. Third when I go above 35 mph and I let off the gas to under 2000 rpm the jeep loses power and it goes down to 1000 rpm and I have to put the pedal to the floor to gain speed again. Somebody help me out.

1) You were right you should not have used the RTV on rubber gaskets. A lot of time when you use it you will cause it to leak because it causes the rubber to slip and sometime break.
2) More then likely it isn't the hose if you replaced it. It is your water pump. On the bottom of the pump near the pump shaft there is a weep hole that the seal goes out to let you know that your pump is going out. I suggest you change out you pump before driving it, You will lose all your coolant and over heat giving you more problems then you have now.
3) This one I'm not sure of.

I use RTV to hold the gasket in place, especially around the rear main. I let it almost completely dry before installing the pan though. you did replace the rear main seal while you were in there? right?

I'm having the same third problem as you hah. I'm pretty sure it's do to bad fuel injectors. I'm replacing mine soon I'll be sure to tell you if the problem goes away.

haha, I thought the same thing, I had a big crack in my manifold, so I replaced it. Didn't really see a big difference in anything.. I just put some seafoam in my jeep and noticed some smoke coming out of my muffler, noticed a fairly large hole in muffler, not sure if that's the problem, but it sure will be something I fix none the less. I'll let you know if that fixes anything either too. I should be able to get a flowmaster muffler for around 40 bucks. hopes that's going to help my cause.
