Main Crank bearing issues 2001
 

I am putting in new crank and rod bearings in my 01...the rod bearings -sealed power are labeled 3310 cpa on the box...every bearing is stamped with that number..... my main bearing set is sealed power 7211M......all bearings in box are labeled 2686cpau and the thrust is 2687 even though the box is labeled 7211M it was not a sealed box. I got them from ADVANCEAUTO.....I called AUTOZONE in a different town and ordered the 7211 M bearings...It was not a sealed box and it too has the 2686 bearings in it. cannot confirm the 2686 bearings for the 2001 ...Any suggestions...thanks

Check with whoever made the bearings. Contact them on-line or call.

Thanks, that's what I did...Federal Mogul has a Tech Help phone number and they confirmed that those are the bearings that belong in that kit. They really need to offer that info readily on box or seal the box. They did acknowledge that the mains box does not come sealed like the rod box. But they were helpful and friendly so cant complain too much . Just glad I don't have to hunt down another set of bearings, now to get the pan out of the hole
