Oil fountain from engine
I have another post that discussed issues I have been having with a 4.0 engine I recently rebuilt. It pretty much misfires and stumbles at 2000 rpm and wont continue revving any higher. Here is a link to my other post to explain the issue further... if you are interested.

I took the valve cover off today and fired up the engine and had oil shooting from the either number 5 or number 6 cylinder rockers. I am not sure if it was intake or exhaust and I shut it down pretty quickly as it was shooting about 3 - 4 inches and hitting the hood of the jeep.
I am thinking maybe that oil starvation has caused my cam to become flat keeping and messing up the valve timing. Does this sound right? And if so besides replacing the cam does anyone have any ideas why the oil is not flowing to the front tappets on the cam?
Thanks!
