Low range Transmission
 

I am looking to purchase a 95 Cherokee, i am new to the jeep world.
I encountered a transmission problem and would like some input please.
When I put the transmission in low range 4wd the transmission seemed to slip changing from 1st to 2nd with the shifter in drive.
Is this common?
It was the only time it seemd to do this was in low range.
Any advise please?

We need more info before we can give you a definative answer. What year, engine, transfer case, and what Jeep are we talking about. Cherokee ot Grand Cherokee.
